Kelli Watson Francuzenko
Ms. Francuzenko is Of Counsel at Nevrivy Patent Law Group. She is an IP transactional attorney specializing in the protection of life science innovation and intellectual property prior to and from its inception through commercialization of proprietary products and processes.
Ms. Francuzenko’s practice encompasses preparing and negotiating agreements, preparation of IP policy and procedure, conducting intellectual property due diligence, and devising intellectual property strategies to assist clients in protecting, managing and leveraging their intellectual property assets and investigating intellectual property targets. She has extensive transactional experience in developing strategic IP collaborative models, IP policy and procedure, drafting and negotiating research and development agreements, drug discovery and generic development agreements, licensing and other intellectual property transfer agreements. Ms. Francuzenko has experience in the review and negotiation of government research grants and contracts and with attendant federal regulations like the Bayh-Dole act and the Federal Acquisition Regulations. She is also experienced in conducting IP due diligence in the context of mergers and acquisitions, asset purchases, licensing, IPOs and other investments, and in the context of managing and leveraging IP portfolios. Ms. Francuzenko’s practice further encompasses conducting freedom to operate and invalidity investigations as well as conducting litigation reviews in the context of investments.
Prior to joining Nevrivy Patent Law Group, Ms. Francuzenko was a partner at a general practice law firm in Washington, D.C. and Assistant Director to the Research and Technology Development Office of Georgetown University.
